Hello! I am Kaitlyn, the potter, creator, artist and player of mud. I have worked with clay on and off since I was a kid. Once I went to college and seriously got my hands in the mud, I couldn't let go. It was all I wanted to do and all I have done ever since. 

As a native to the state of Colorado and specifically the mountains, I have always appreciated a rough edged form. I try to display a sense of balance in my pieces with both rough and smooth textures while also showing off the natural colors of the clay.

When I began this journey I was drawn to the more sculptural pieces in ceramics, however I find myself making more and more functional pottery in the present. Knowing that someone is using my piece and appreciating the form in every day use is a comfort.
